Limitations
Only the pasted markup is parsed — no live URL fetch, no platform-specific caches (Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack). Image dimensions, absolute URLs and CSP may still break previews on real networks even when tags look present.

Many networks fall back to a text-only card or pick an arbitrary on-page image. og:image gives you control over the thumbnail shown when the link is shared.
Not guaranteed. Platforms cache scrapes, require absolute HTTPS image URLs and may crop images differently. Always verify with the target network’s sharing debugger after publish.
