Decrypt a PDF when you already know the open password.
Upload a password-protected PDF, enter the current open password, and download a copy without encryption. The original upload is not modified.
When to use this
- You have the correct open password and need an unprotected file for further editing or conversion
- For owner-only restrictions without an open password, unlock PDF may be enough
Limits
- One PDF up to 10 MB
- Wrong or unknown passwords are rejected — nothing is cracked
- Only use on documents you are allowed to decrypt

The operation completely decrypts the output copy, rather than selecting individual permissions to save. For a document with ownership restrictions only, you can also use the PDF unlock tool.
Yes. Files are transferred over a secure connection, encrypted while stored on the server, and automatically deleted. Flimpa does not store documents permanently and does not use them to train models.
